The Amazing Race Asia 2006

The Amazing Race Asia is a reality game show based on the American series The Amazing Race. On 17 October 2005, CBS gave other countries the chance to franchise The Amazing Race. The Asian cable TV network AXN Asia was among the first to acquire the rights to produce a version for its territories. The show is produced by Australian television production company ActiveTV, for AXN, in association with Buena Vista International Television-Asia Pacific. The host for the show is Singapore based Chinese-American actor Allan Wu. The ultimate prize is US$100,000, whilst the American show gives away US$1,000,000. The general manager of SPE Networks-Asia which runs AXN, Ricky Ow explained the smaller prize, saying, "It is not really about the money but the adventure and opportunity to be in one of the world's greatest reality shows".

Asia Market Watch

Asia Market Watch was a business news programme aired on CNBC Asia from 9 a.m. to noon, Hong Kong/Singapore/Taiwan time. The programme, presented by Amanda Drury, took its name from the previous CNBC US programme Market Watch. The programme was also aired in part on CNBC Europe and in its entirety in the US on CNBC World. Although it was referred to as Asia Market Watch in programme listings and by some presenters, the programme's title sequence and graphics referred to the programme only as Market Watch since 30 October 2000. The programme, which debuted a new logo on October 30, 2006, then used the theme music previously adopted by Street Signs. When the programme debuted in April 2000, it was entitled Asia Market Watch and only lasted for 1 hour with the 2nd half hour a replay of the 1st half hour. However, in October 2000, as part of CNBC Asia's extension of live regional programming, it was simply renamed Market Watch and aired live for 3½ hours on Weekdays. Prior to 2 January 2001, CNBC Asia used graphics for the show different from the one used by CNBC US.

Asia's Next Top Model 2012

Asia's Next Top Model is a reality television show of Top Model Franchise, in which a number of women compete for the title of Asia's Next Top Model and a chance to start their career in the modeling industry. The show will feature aspiring models from the entire Far East region, including South Asia subcontinent. The show was initially set to launch in mid-2012 on Ice-TV, after a deal was arranged with CBS for a Pan-Asian version. The casting process began in March 28, 2012 and was scheduled to end on May 5 of the same year. Later, the deadline was extended to May 21. The show was produced in Singapore. On April 11, it was publicly revealed that Nadya Hutagalung would take on the role of Head Judge and Host of the series. Fashion Director, Daniel Boey, Fashion Photographer, Todd Anthony Tyler, and model, Joey Mead King took secondary roles as judges. Around early October, STAR World and Channel 8 introduced the 14 finalists for season one, from 13 countries in South, Southeast and East Asia. The show was initially scheduled to premiere on November 4, 2012. However, the global premiere on STAR World was pushed back to November 25 due to monetary problems. The winner of the first cycle was 27 year old Jessica Amornkuldilok from Thailand.

Asia Market Wrap is a business news programme aired on CNBC Asia between 1600-1800 Hong Kong/Singapore/Taiwan time, until December 2005. The show also aired on CNBC US on 5:30 to 6AM ET until 2000, then it was moved to CNBC World. Anchored by Christine Tan, Asia Market Wrap examined the day's headlines and numbers, with in-depth analysis of the day's financial news, interviewing key money managers, market experts and corporate chiefs. The programme, comes from its original edition on CNBC US, Market Wrap, included several segments, such as Australia Market Wrap, China Business Briefing and Eye on India. Asia Market Week - a weekly wrap-up of the market action in Asia - aired between 17:30-18:00 on Fridays. Prior to Martin Soong's original departure from CNBC Asia, he was the programme's regular presenter (the programme was billed as Asia Market Wrap with Martin Soong). When he returned to present Asia Squawk Box, Tan was moved to present Asia Market Wrap instead. The programme was not aired on CNBC Asia's CNBC Australia, local opt-out - it was replaced by CNBC Europe's Morning Exchange (1600 - 1700 HK/SG Time) and CNBC's Wake Up Call (1700 - 1800 HK/SG/TWN Time). The programme ended on 2 December 2005 and was replaced by Worldwide Exchange on 19 December 2005. Tan continues as the Asian presenter of this programme, joined by CNBC's Michelle Caruso-Cabrera (used for 2005-07-10-19 to due General assignment), now anchored by Brian Shactman (2007-10-22-present) and CNBC Europe's Ross Westgate.

MTV Asia Hitlist is an Asian chart show or countdown on MTV Asia, produced by MTV Asia and hosted by MTV VJs, which first aired in 1996. It resembles the MTV US show TRL, which also featured music videos in a countdown. From 1996-1999, the show presented the Top 20 videos in Asia, lasting for two hours with advertisements. However, in 2000, it was reduced to the Top 10, now consuming only one hour. A year later, the Top 20 was brought back this time lasting only one hour as not all the videos were shown. "One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men was the first single to top the charts.
